Westlife impress fans with farewell programme For The Last Time

Westlife fans have taken to Twitter to express their joy as their favourite band’s swansong programme Westlife: For The Last Time aired on ITV.
Featuring songs like You Raise Me Up and Flying Without Wings, Westlife: For The Last Time was heaven on Earth for fans of the band, as they looked back on their 14-year career with the help of Christine Bleakley.

Westlife fans flocked to Twitter to share their excitement as Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne and Shane Filan sang and sat on stools in the hour-long ITV special.

The top tweet relating to the show read: ‘It might be #westlifeforthelasttime, but there will never be a wrong time to sing along to one of their songs.’

One Westlife-mad Twitter user wrote: ‘No band will ever be as great as them, I’ve grown up with Westlife my whole life, wish they weren’t splitting up’.

Another fan tweeted: ‘they should make #Westlifeforthelasttime as long as their career, it would be endless because they’ll forever live on!

‘Further praise came in the form of: ‘There will never be a boyband like them. #westlifeforthelasttime’. Naturally, the show also had its detractors.

One Twitter user wrote: ‘#WestlifeForTheLastTime who would even watch that? their all fat, ugly and can’t sing for their lifes! #poor’.

Another said there ‘isn’t enough irony in the world to express how bad this band is’.

Another added simply: ‘slowly dying #westlifeforthelasttime’.
